Twitter - Business Tool or Toy?

For many people who have not explored the opportunities presented by Twitter, their opinions may have been moulded by the newspapers they read. Twitter, to those who have yet to investigate, comes across like Marmite, you either love it or hate it.

the reality is that is an excellent Short Sharp communications tool that can put you in touch with millions of people. You can update your Twitter page from almost anywhere, your PC or laptop, an App on your SmartPhone, sending it a photo from your phone and even a simple text message.

You build your network by following people and encouraging them to follow you and then making interesting "Tweets" which could be comments, thoughts, links to websites - pretty much anything that helps to raise your profile and build your credibility.

As your reputation builds, people will start to "Re-Tweet" - which means that they take your Tweets and re-post them to their followers - thereby taking your comments to a fresh new audience.
